It may be prettier than standard Skyrim, but it’s still the same glitchy mess. This is one of many places that skeleton jumped to after I killed a dragon that attacked in front of Warmaiden’s.

At least, potentially.

I give Bethesda a pass on Skyrim being a glitchy mess that they pretty much expect modders to fix for them because in spite of that, I still very much enjoyed Skyrim and have over 400 hours logged in it.

Fallout 4 is a different story though, and I was so disappointed in it that I will not pre-order another Bethesda game.

Fallout 4 never committed the cardinal sin for me that New Vegas did - freezing solid and wiping out something like four hours of progress outright. Yeah, I was one of the guys who played it right at release...

Eww. Sorry about that. New Vegas is easily my favorite Fallout game, although I’ve only played 3 and up.

Don’t get me wrong, I still played stupid amounts of New Vegas, it just has (bugs-wise) done far worse by me than 4. Although the glitch in 4 that ate one of my power armor frames was infuriating.

Fallout 4 was better bug-wise, but it was just so devoid of anything interesting to do, and the dialogue was just such an enormous downgrade.

Mostly I was peeved that they railroad you (heh) into wiping out the Railroad if you go for the BOS or Minutemen endings. So. Very. Stupid. No grand compromise paths like the several in New Vegas. I’m also irritated by one facet of the NukaWorld DLC - in that a dialogue/fancypants character gets screwed out of an ideal arrangement, because you can’t pacify the Nuka World gangs peaceably. No, it’s either piss off the Minutemen FOREVER by playing with the gangs, personally kill every man jack of every gang, or... reject the content.

I like to have more Machievelli than that, kthx.

Far Harbor was really good, though.

Been playing SE as well. Understand exactly what you mean, but Bethesda games are irresistible to me, so I just keep playing and mod the heck out of them. TGM, TCL, and player.setav speedmult 1000. Traveling at 1000 times normal speed while no-clipping is fun, even if you just go straight up and look at the world occasionally. So many console commands.

I haven’t bought any of the DLC for 4 because even if it’s good, Bethesda isn’t getting any more of my money for 4.

I didn’t dislike 4 enough to take a hard line, and I bought a season pass very early on sale for like $15, so I absolutely don’t feel cheated - even if half of NukaWorld is naff for plot reasons, I like a lot of it.

Have you played the online version of Skyrim? If you have is it worth it? I haven’t really heard any good things about it.

You mean Elder Scrolls Online?

I bought it to play with friends because it was on sale, played a couple of hours, and haven’t touched it since. They’ve made some pretty major updates to it since I played last, but I haven’t gotten around to seeing if they improve the game.

This is true. Open Cities has made Whiterun a nightmare, but it’s nothing worse than the standard Bethesda glitches, so I’ve kept it because it’s nice in the cities that it works for (i.e. everywhere but Whiterun).

I’m at about 315 hours for both versions of Skyrim combined, so yeah, glitches aren’t stopping me. Never played any Fallout games, though.

The upgraded lighting makes a huge difference. That’s pretty much the only difference, though.
